it was not until I started listening to Elmore James that I really *got* the blues. there are a lot of great blues guys out there and I enjoy listening to a lot of it but there is something about this stuff that gets me. what would the world be without Elmore? I can not say – when guys like Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix were listening to his music – what affect he had on music and what we listen to today.
find some and listen to it. well worth your time.
