ode to a beautiful new knife

There is nothing quite like a new knife to brighten the kitchen and make me want to cook all day.
I love my wustof – it is a beautiful, shiny thing.
Lots of people I know seem to wonder if high quality kitchen things make a difference and I would like to say that I think they most certainly do. I can manage with lesser knives but once you use a beautifully crafted, high quality kitchen tool – well, just try it. It is worth every penny.
I will now start plotting the acquisition of my next knife. . . .
