angular momentum
We can’t slow time. We can’t stop time. We can’t get it back once it passes us by and this is why it is so important to live every moment like it is the only one we have. Whatever is happening right now may be gone in a flash. You will never get those 20 years back. Cherish every moment and live like there might not be another.
When there is some terrible moment confronting us, there is comfort in knowing this.
When there is someone you love and you can feel it in the pit of your stomach, cherish every moment with them. There might not be another. These are the people who make you nonsensical. These are the people who make you feel as though the troubles of life and the world are very small. These are the people who make your toes tingle. You go out of your way, hoping that you might see them. They make you smile like the village idiot. You stop being rational when they are near you. The rest of the world disappears. You think about them as you toss and turn trying to sleep at night. You wake up in the morning with a smile on your face because they are a part of your life.
These people, my dear friend, are priceless. They walk into and out of our lives, and you never know when they might disappear or when they might be back. The great challenge is to let that love seep in and to cherish the fact that you are so lucky to have it, even for a moment. I guess greater than this is accepting the fact that you deserve it. Oh! If everyone could love this way. If everyone could be loved this way.
I must ask the question – if you don’t let love like this into your life do you really know how to love someone else? It is so good to love people this way. Terrifying, but good.
So do it. Love and laugh and let life be the fabulous thing you have been hoping for and never really thought that you could have. It is right there. Savor it.
