the FDA is INSANE
they have recommended that we:
“to postpone eating commercially-prepared or manufactured peanut butter-containing products and institutionally-served peanut butter until further information becomes available about which products may be affected.”
but peanut butter is in everything except bean sprouts and ketchup. this is going to seriously cramp my style.
why is it that all the peanut butter seems to come from one plant? what’s that all about. and as for the outstanding question from my previous post – how do they get salmonella in there. . . Jean came to the rescue – she had some thoughts. Apparently I need to interview our buddy Sparky because he has long been opposed to the our government allowing rat droppings and hair in our food.
YES THEY DO! There are guidelines for how much you are allowed to have in there. YUCK. I will always grind my own peanut butter for now. There are no rats in my kitchen.
