As soon as I find it, I’ll be sending you a cookbook that you may enjoy when the baking bug bites you, though you may need to adjust the weights and measures a bit as they are basically set up for making somewhat large quanities. I believe the recipe for those WONDERFUL Rainbow cookies that you so enjoyed is in this book.
OH, and I love those cookies myself.
It was the thin layer of marzapan that made the difference between great tasting cookies and amazing to-die-for PERFECTION.
Hughie ( the baker you refer to ) would be thrilled that you so enjoyed his cookies and that their vivid memory is so pleasurable.
My baking urge also explodes at this time of year and my constant quest to find a recipe for Peanut Butter cookies like those they served in the overly institutional styled school I attended as a child drives me to research every cookie cookbook and online recipe site I can find. This year I came closer than any attempt in the past though not quite exactly … maybe next time.

I promise more frequent cookie shipments.
